The millionth rescue in the Food Rescue Hero network was run by 412 Food Rescue, the organization that built this platform. Food Rescue Hero exists because 412 Food Rescue needed a better way to get surplus food to neighbors who needed it. What started as one city’s problem is now a network of 25 food rescue organizations and 63,000 volunteers running on the same technology across the US and Canada.
This milestone doesn’t just belong to 412 Food Rescue. It belongs to every volunteer and every food rescue organization in this network who showed up long before anyone was counting. Thank you for building this with us.
