Food Rescue Hero is excited to announce that Chicago Food Rescue has officially joined the Food Rescue Hero Network, and their region is now available in the Food Rescue Hero app or by downloading the Chicago Food Rescue app.
Chicago Food Rescue becomes our 19th partner to adopt the Food Rescue Hero proprietary technology to coordinate food rescues and maintain detailed reporting, helping fight hunger and food waste in the city of Chicago.
In Chicago, 1 in 5 people face food insecurity daily. By connecting surplus food from local businesses to nonprofit organizations, Chicago Food Rescue aims to provide much-needed support to vulnerable communities. With the Chicago Food Rescue app powered by Food Rescue Hero, the opportunity to get involved and safely rescue and redistribute wholesome food has never been greater.
