Ready to grow your food rescue’s impact? In this session, we’ll focus on one of the most important pieces of a successful food rescue operation—building a strong network of nonprofit distribution partners.
We’ll be joined by Michelle Sandidge, Chief Community Affairs Officer of the Pittsburgh Housing Authority–one of the very first nonprofit sites to partner with 412 Food Rescue for food rescue distribution in Pittsburgh! She’ll share how, as a brand new organization, 412 Food Rescue approached the housing authority and developed a successful partnership that was reliable and respectful, and just how much it impacted the residents served.
What to expect:
- Identifying potential nonprofit partners—from food pantries to schools, senior centers, libraries and more, there’s so much untapped potential in your community!
- Approaching and engaging new partners in a way that builds trust and excitement
- Establishing clear communication and expectations to create smooth, respectful collaborations
- Maintaining and growing strong partnerships that expand access and ensure dignity for those receiving food
Join us to learn simple, actionable strategies to get food where it’s needed most—by partnering with organizations already rooted in the communities you serve!
